Three Olympians earn CCCBCA player of the week honors in February

The accolades continue to roll in for the San Diego Mesa College baseball program.

In the month of February, the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) honored three Olympians as Southern California Players of the Week. 

Congratulations to the following players:

CCCBCA Player of the Week, the week of 2/18/2019
Cyrus Fullen, hitting in the leadoff spot all 4 games, helped lead the Olympians to a great week, winning 3 of their 4 games to head into conference play.
AB: 19, H: 9, R: 5, RBI: 4, 2B’s: 2, SB: 2

CCCBCA Player of the Week, the week of 2/25/2019
#5, OF – Ray Gutierrez
Ray had an outstanding week to open Conference play for the Olympians. His effort help lead Mesa to a 3-0 sweep and great start to league play.

6/10; 7R; 5RBI; 1 double; 1 triple, 1BB, 0K, 4SB

CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week, the week of 2/25/2019
#7, RHP - Jacob Casson

Jacob had an outstanding start to open league for the Olympians. He was very sharp, shutting out The Roadrunners for 7 innings while recording 6 strikeouts and no free passes. He moves to 3-1 on the season.
