The San Diego Mesa College tandem of Ally Fergusson and Hannah Grimm fell in a 22-20, 21-19 battle to Ashlee Goycoochea and Alexcis Morris from Grossmont College to finish second in the 2019 PCAC Pairs Championship.
The 2019 PCAC Women’s Beach Volleyball Pairs Championships are currently being held at San Diego Mesa College. The two-day event began on Wednesday and will conclude with the championships rounds on Friday.
The San Diego Mesa College women’s beach volleyball team (11-6, 2-1 PCAC) earned two victories on Friday by defeating Mira Costa College 3-2 and San Diego City College 3-2.
Although the day started with slight overcast and a cool breeze, the play of the San Diego Mesa women’s beach volleyball was on fire. The Olympians started their Pacific Coast Athletic Conference campaign by dominating Palomar College 5-0.
The San Diego Mesa College women’s beach volleyball team is off to a good start. With a 6-5 record against non-conference opponents, the coaching staff is pleased with where they stand.
It’s been a long time coming, but the much anticipated 2019 women’s beach volleyball season started on Friday as Mesa hosted Mt. San Antonio College, Saddleback College, and Cypress College.
Kim Lester, the current head women’s beach volleyball coach and an assistant on the women’s volleyball team was recently honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for her 300th win at the junior college level.
