Men's Water Polo Earns 15-6 Victory Over Navy
Annapolis, MD – Freshman standout Jasmin Kolasinac (Belgrade, Serbia / King's College) registered a double hat trick and junior Teo Dadic (Dubrovnik, Croatia / Gimnazija Dubrovnik [Long Beach City College]) added a single hat trick to lead the Wagner men's water polo team to a 15-6 win over Navy in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference play.
Today's victory, on the heels of Saturday's split, gives the Seahawks a 2-1 weekend mark which improves their overall record to 9-5 as the Green & White have now won seven of their last eight contests.
Rookie András Bimbó-Szuhai (Oradea, Romania / Ady Endre Líceum) added two goals, while junior Devin O'Donnell (Pointe-Claire, Quebec/Selwyn/San Diego Mesa College), sophomore Matthew Miller (San Ramon, CA / California High), and freshman Jack Leighton (Lake Forest, CA / El Toro) found the back of the net one time apiece.
The Seahawks' defense was effective as well, with senior Ciaran Wolohan (Manly, Australia/St. Aloysius College/Golden West College) and O'Donnell grabbing six steals each. Kolasinac came up with five steals, while junior goalie Cameron Woldt (San Diego, CA / Serra High School [San Diego Mesa College]) protected the cage with eight blocks and six steals in the Seahawks' victory.
The Green & White return to the pool on Thursday, October 5 at Princeton when the Seahawks meet the Tigers in a 7:00 p.m. start.
